Bubble boy

Last week Irene's parents came for a visit on their way home from Canada. He was so happy that he decided he would try to walk. Day after day he got up in the middle of the room, raised his hands, smiled, and tried to step forward. His greatest feat so far is 6 steps. He also learned how to put his hands on his head and say 'uh-oh' with an innocent look on his face. He probably learned that from the grandfathers. But uh-oh wasn't his first phrase, nope, his first word was "bubbles". He is obsessed with the bubble machine Irene bought him. He turns it on by himself to watch them fly around outside.

It was a good week for Brady. He even got himself sick so he could not go to daycare and spend more time with them. Clever....

Take me out to the ball game...

Brady's new thing is biking around the house

But reading is his favorite thing to do

"I tip my hat to my grandparents for taking care of me"

Random Miscellaneous Post

The difference between a mother and father is that on Mother's Day the daycare made a homemade card for Irene, and for Father's Day they wrapped a rock in tin foil for me.

Irene and Brady often try to find different artistic poses. This one seems to have some biblical undertones, don't you think?

Brady has taken a liking to corn on the cob in the past week. It is definitely one of his favorites now.

Maybe the Lock Ness Monster does exist (see prior post)....

Hey, am I standing by myself? Where did everyone go?

One step forward for child freedom, one step back for adult free time

Well, it's finally come time for Brady to join the walking crowd. His legs are getting stronger by the day and he seems to enjoy being upright more and more. He's standing on his own but like the Lock Ness Monster (i.e. Nessie), it's only a myth until photographic proof is found. And every time he does it, he sits right before I can take his picture. Below is all that we can get on film, well, actually it's a digital Sandisk card, but you get the point.

On the go

More! More! Dad, wake up!!!

Brady is going through another change - he is amp'ed up 10 times more than ever before! I'm not sure if he's getting his hands on extra sugar at daycare, but he is a non-stop crawler and climber. Thank goodness he can't walk yet....

A game of strength

The other night I had Brady all to myself. With the extra energy he has suddenly picked up, combined with his amazing curiosity and fearless attitude, this seemed like a really bad situation for me to be in. However, he took it easy on me and stayed near my side the whole time playing with his toys. Then every once in awhile he would get up to play 'who has a stronger grip' with me.

Swing away

Saturday was nice and balmy prior to some flash thunderstorms, so Brady took advantage of the nice weather by playing on his cousins' swing set.
