Back from illness

After 7 days of chills, fever, coughing, sore throat, headaches, and pure lethargy, I've come to the conclusion that the flu is indeed something that you do not want to get. However, I've also come to the conclusion that if it wants to get you, it will. This year was the FIRST year that I got the flu shot in as long as I can remember and of course I get the flu. It comes fast and leaves slowly, so hope you don't get it.

The upside of it is that when you are able to maintain consciousness, you can spend all day in bed watching the NFL Network and nobody can stop you. Now THIS is a good use of TV! NFL History comes to life right in front of you with their new America’s Game series. I watched the season summaries on the ’81 Niners, the ’94 Niners, the ’96 Packers, and the ’82 Redskins. And if your name happens to rhyme with Ho Gussillo then you really want to watch/TIVO the ’82 Redskins one. It was great. I also learned everything I need to know about the upcoming NFL draft and more. For instance, Brady Quinn ran a faster 40 yard dash time than the speedy Troy Smith from THE Ohio State University. Also, did you know that Calvin Johnson’s left foot has six toes, which is why he cuts to the right much faster than anyone else ever has in history? Okay, I made that up, but you can still learn a lot on this channel. They should make it mandatory for school children to have to watch it for 30 minutes a day, maybe build it into social studies or something.

Anyway, I'm finally back on my feet and almost back to normal. I snapped about 20 pictures over the weekend so that's a good sign. Time to celebrate and drink.

Brady has perfected the vertical bottle hold to ensure every drop comes out (most don't learn this until college)
